Hi, I’m Bryan,

I’m based in Scotland and when I’m not working as a data scientist, I spend as much time as I can out on the water.

I sail a 1989 Jeanneau Sun Charm 39 — a solid, dependable cruiser that’s been around long enough to have a bit of character, but still gets the job done.

I’ve set this site up to share a bit about the boat, the work I’ve done on her, and some of the places we’ve been.

You’ll find updates on maintenance projects, sailing plans, maybe the odd weather grumble, and a few thoughts on sailing and boat ownership from someone who’s always learning.
